The New A Star carries the same tested and trusted K-series engine under its petite hood, and by the way this was the initial vehicle of Maruti Suzuki to shoulder this innovative engine. The 998cc K10B petrol power-train yields an optimum power of 67 PS at 6200 rpm in conjunction with peak torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. This leveled torque has been serving exceptionally well, when it comes to jam-packed city traffic conditions.

The car has got a distinct appearance with its European design ideology that at times makes you feel like a mini version of sports car. The New A Star has now got two exclusive new shades in the form of Glistening Grey and Pearl Caffeine Brown. The headlamps resemble the shape of water droplet sliding from the smooth bonnet. Furthermore, the bumpers, ORVMs and door handles are body colored along with the wide wheel arches and new alloys wheels beneath that have now provided the youth oriented hatchback a sporty stance.
