An immensely successful sedan Maruti Swift Dzire since last four years from the prominent stable of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) that continues to sell about 10,000 units per month will soon be seen in an all-new improved version in the form of New Maruti Swift Dzire CS. The new generation model that will be the shortened form of the existing sedan is sculptured keeping in mind ‘luxury’ combined with no less ‘sportiness’. The 2012 Maruti Swift Dzire has lost around 70 kgs of kerb weight against the older variant in order to provide excellent power to weight ratio together with some marvelous mileage figures. Engine and Specifications:
The New Maruti Swift Dzire will be powered by 1.2L K-series petrol and a 1.3L Multi-jet diesel motor, which is sourced from Fiat Motors. The petrol engine K1 VVT provides maximum output of 87 bhp at 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. The petrol version will be offered with two transmissions, one of 4-speed auto transmission, while other the standard 5-speed manual. The reliable 1.3L diesel power-train will be seen yielding a decent 75 bhp of sheer power at 4000 rpm and a peppy 190 Nm of peak torque at 2000 rpm.

The engineers at MSIL have done an admirable work by molding a regular sedan into less than 4 meters without compromising on the stylish aspect, which is proved by the fact that New Dzire is 25mm taller. The front fascia of New Maruti Swift Dzire has got a broader smile by new wider bumpers along with newly shaped air vents. The headlights are now stretched upwards to make them look larger than the earlier and sitting in the middle is the bold Suzuki crest. At the rear is a compact boot, which is 145mm longer than Maruti Swift hatchback, along with large tail lamps that now look quite pleasant in their trapezoidal form.

The company claims an extra-ordinary mileage of 23.4 kmpl by the 1.3L diesel Multi-jet powered New Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. While a fuel economy of 19.1 kmpl is expected out of the petrol variant of the model.
